Books I’m adding to my To Be Read list.

Let’s Read Together!

Let’s Read Together!

I’m late getting this post up, but it’s been crazy hectic what with the husband being gone for so long, illnesses going around left and right, and my newfound addiction of Candy Crush Soda Saga (don’t judge, you know you have your goofy game addictions, too) I had this mostly ready to go and then got sidetracked.

Then I spent a weekend out west sneaking in time to see the husband in between his jobs and such.  Now I’m home.  Now I’ve got the pdf finished.  Now I’m writing this up.

Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked again.  I like to read and I haven’t picked up a single book yet this year.  I know.  I’m just as shocked as you are.  I’m not sure how that’s happened, but it has.  I’m ready to remedy this situation and I want you to join me in pledging, even if only to ourselves, to read this year.

I’ve randomly written down different genres and other little “requirements” for a book to meet in order for it to be able to make my Books I Read in 2017 list and I would love for you to join me in trying to read 20 different books this year, one for each category.

It could be total fun!  What’s a little competition between friends if it’s not fun?

Here’s the pdf of The List.

And on that note, I must say that I am most excited about the upcoming release of Chevy Stevens’s new book, Never Let You Go.

What book’s release are you most looking forward to this year?

Will you join me in my own personal 2017 reading challenge?

My Read More Reading Challenge 2016

My Read More Reading Challenge 2016

I’ve always wanted to complete a year long reading challenge.  I’ve searched and searched Google and found several that were some pretty awesome challenges.  None of them ever quite fit me, though.  So, I’ve made my own!  I’ve even got it set up so that you can download it yourself, print it out, and read along with me!  Just click the link right down there at the bottom of the page and bam!  It’s yours to use.

reading challenge

It has forty different book descriptors to help broaden your reading horizon and to challenge you to finish all forty challenges.  If you complete all forty reading challenges with a different title for each line and share your completed pages with me, I’ll enter you into a drawing at the end of the year for a surprise reading goody basket!

As I read the books, I will be reviewing them here.  Be sure to check back throughout the year to see what I read and what I think about the books.  I am really looking forward to 2016 being a great new year!  Are you going to tell everyone about the book challenge or keep it to yourself?

Here’s the link to download the pdf file.
